Do I need to edit my theme.liquid code?
No. Every Online Store 2.0 theme, including Shopify's free ones like Dawn, Refresh and Sense, has a Custom Liquid section in the visual theme editor. Paste the two lines there and drag the section anywhere on the page.
Does this replace product star ratings under each SKU?
No, and that's on purpose. If you need automatic photo reviews on 200 products, use a review app such as Judge.me. If you want a hand-picked wall of your best customer quotes on your home page, About page or landing pages without slowing your store down, use TryTestimonials. Plenty of stores use both.
What happens if I remove it?
Delete the Custom Liquid section in the theme editor and the wall is gone. There's no app to uninstall and no code left in your theme files. Your testimonials stay safe in your account.
Does it work on checkout?
No. Shopify doesn't allow your own code on checkout pages, for any tool. Put your wall on the pages before it: the home page, product pages, the cart or your About page.
