What Famewall offers that we don't
- Video and audio testimonials. Famewall records video and audio testimonials. TryTestimonials only collects text. If you want customers on camera, Famewall is the better fit.
- A lower monthly price. Famewall's Standard plan is $12 a month with 4 walls. Our Pro plan is $19 a month with 3 walls.
- Imports and integrations. Famewall can bring in reviews from sites such as Facebook, G2, Capterra and Trustpilot, and its paid plans connect to Zapier, Make, webhooks, Slack and Discord. TryTestimonials has none of these. You add testimonials you already have by hand.
- Room for teams and agencies. Higher Famewall plans go up to unlimited walls, team members and client workspaces for agencies. Our Pro plan stops at 3 walls and one login.
Where TryTestimonials is better
- A free plan that keeps collecting. Famewall's free plan holds 10 testimonials. On ours you can collect as many as you like, and your site shows the 15 newest you've approved.
- Pay once if you prefer. Lifetime is $49 once for the first 30 buyers, with no renewals. That's about four months of Famewall Standard.
- Written testimonials, done well. Because TryTestimonials only does written testimonials, the customer's side is one short form on their phone: three prompts, a box and a send button, with no camera, microphone or account. The prompts ask about the problem, the experience and the result, so you get specific quotes that visitors can skim in seconds and believe.
- Less to learn for you. There are three steps: send a link, approve what comes back, paste two lines into your site. You get ready-made messages to send, a printable QR code, and step-by-step guides for WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, Framer and Carrd. It's built for owners who don't want to learn a marketing tool.
- Private and light. The widget sets no cookies, doesn't track the people who see it, and loads no web fonts or images, so it won't slow your pages down. Customers' IP addresses are only ever stored as a one-way hash, to stop spam.
- A person answers your email. Write to george@trytestimonials.com and George Ryder, who builds TryTestimonials, replies. There's no ticket queue or chatbot in the way.

Questions
Can I bring my testimonials over from Famewall?
There's no automatic import. You can add testimonials you already have by hand, as long as the customer agreed to them being shared: up to 5 on the free plan, and as many as you like on Pro. They go straight onto your wall, marked “Added by you” in your inbox.
Why doesn't TryTestimonials do video?
Because we think a good written testimonial does the job better for most small businesses. It takes your customer a minute on their phone, where filming themselves takes nerve and retakes. Visitors can skim it in seconds, and a quote that names a real problem and result is easy to believe, while some visitors are wary of polished videos now that actors can be hired to record them. Leaving video out also keeps your widget tiny, so your pages stay fast. If video matters most to you, Famewall is a good choice.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Sign in with Google and you're on the free plan, for as long as you like. Upgrade only if you need more.
