How to make a testimonial wall
Add your testimonials
Paste up to 10 testimonials customers have already sent you, from emails, messages or cards, with each person's name and, if you like, their role or company. Use their words: fix typos, but don't change what they meant.
Pick a look
Choose a layout, light or dark, your brand colour, a card colour and a font. The preview beside the form is the real widget, so what you see is what your visitors will see.
Create your preview link
You get a private link to your finished wall, to check on your phone or send to a colleague. It lasts 14 days, and only people with the link can see it.
Claim it and add it to your site
Sign in with Google or Microsoft to claim the wall into a free account, then copy the two-line embed code into your website. From then on, new testimonials appear on the wall as soon as you approve them.
What it looks like on a website
This is the real widget, loaded on this page with the same two lines you'd paste into your site. It takes its width from wherever you put it, so it fits a full-width section or a narrow column.
Which layout to choose
| Layout | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| GridFree and Pro | Cards in rows, with a “Show more” button. | Most pages. A good default. |
| CarouselPro | A row of cards visitors scroll through with arrows. | Home pages, where space is tight. |
| MasonryPro | Columns of cards in different heights. | A mix of long and short testimonials. |
| Single quotePro | One large quote at a time. | A hero section, sidebar or booking page. |
You can try every layout in the generator. On the Free plan your wall shows as a grid in the default look, with your 5 newest testimonials; your choices are saved, so they appear if you upgrade.
How to display testimonials on your website
Put them where people decide
Testimonials work hardest next to the moment someone makes up their mind: on your home page below what you do, on your pricing or booking page near the button, and beside a contact form. A short quote on a product or service page often does more than a long page of them.
Pick specific ones
“Great service!” says little. Lead with testimonials that name a problem and a result, like “Fixed our boiler the same day”, and include the person's name and, where it helps, their role or company. Real names make testimonials believable.
Keep them coming
A wall that was last updated two years ago reads as stale. Ask customers right after you deliver: our testimonial request generator writes the message for you, the review QR code generator makes cards for your counter, and our guide to asking for testimonials covers the rest.

Frequently asked questions
Is the testimonial wall generator free?
Yes. Building and previewing a wall is free with no sign-up. Claiming it is free too: the Free plan shows your 5 newest testimonials in a grid, with a small "Powered by" link. Pro ($19 a month) adds the carousel, masonry and single-quote layouts, your own colours, dark mode, fonts and unlimited testimonials.
Do I need an account?
Not to build one. You get a private preview link straight away, which lasts 14 days. When you're happy, sign in with Google or Microsoft to claim it, and the wall and its testimonials move into your free account.
Which website builders does it work with?
Any site that lets you paste HTML: WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, Framer, Carrd, Astro and hand-coded sites. You paste two lines of code once, and the wall updates itself when you approve new testimonials.
Can I import reviews from Google or other sites?
No. The generator doesn't import or copy reviews from other websites. Paste testimonials your customers gave you directly, such as in an email, a message or a card, and only ones you have permission to show.
Do I need my customers' permission?
Yes. Only show a testimonial on your website if the customer agreed to their name and words being used. Before creating a link, you confirm the testimonials are real and that you have permission. New testimonials collected through your TryTestimonials form ask the customer for that consent themselves.
What happens to the testimonials I paste in?
They're saved with your private preview link so you can see and share the preview. Only people with the link can see it, and search engines never index it. If you claim it, they move into your account; if you don't, they're deleted after 14 days.
How many testimonials can I add?
Up to 10 in a preview. Once you've claimed your wall, there's no limit on how many you collect through your form.
Can I add star ratings?
Not to testimonials you paste in. A star rating is the customer's own score, so only the customer can give one, when they use your collection form.
Will it slow my website down?
No. The widget is a single small script (under 5 KB compressed) that loads without blocking your page, uses fonts already on your visitors' devices and sets no cookies.
